Quest for Distinction: Challenges & Opportunities is designed to build administrator and professional staff understanding of the diversity and complexity of multiple-sites, branch campuses and university centers; the common challenges among them; and innovative practices and strategies that distinguish them as beacons for thousands of students in the higher education arena. This year's conference will focus on quality presentations that explore the uniqueness of branch campuses, their relationship with stakeholders; expanding opportunities and challenges, and best practices.
Objectives for the NABCA 2009 conference are to:
The NABCA Program Committee is seeking proposals that will address issues related to our theme and be structured to engage the audience. Additionally, the committee is seeking proposals that analyze some aspect of branch or regional campuses related to the following four topics:
Budget and Fiscal Management
Student Life and Learning
Future Opportunities and Challanges
Partnerships
Session Formats (60 minutes including Q&A) All presenters are encouraged to go beyond "show and tell" and to identify underlying concepts and potential applications of their material. Session formats include, but are not limited to the following:
*Research-based presentations and presentations contributing to formulating a research agenda for branch campuses are desirable.
Complete the NABCA 2009 Conference Proposal Form and e-mail it to ngriffin@pc.fsu.edu. After committee review, you will be contacted if there are any questions regarding your proposal. Notification of selection or non-selection will occur by January 15.
DEADLINE:All proposals must be received on or before November 26, 2008.
